We Need MORE Volunteers to Have Fun Helping with Our Educational Programs RIGHT NOW!!! We are looking for people who LOVE the outdoors and want to inspire that love in our youth AND the general public. If you would like to learn and share information about migratory birds, wetlands and the Great Salt Lake Ecosystem, then THIS is the volunteer opportunity you have been looking for! Our new facility is phenomenally popular with schools and the public, so we are bursting at the seams with fieldtrips and our drop-in visitation is steadily growing. If you would like to help with fieldtrips and/or become a Nature Center Host, please contact Justina to learn more about training and the program in general. Hope to hear from you soon! Nesting Season at Farmington Bay Waterfowl Management Area March 1st to September 15th Sixty species of birds choose to nest at Farmington Bay WMA--these include waterfowl, shorebird, raptor and songbird species. Because we want these birds to successfully court, nest and raise their young, many parts of the Waterfowl Management Area are off-limits through the duration of the nesting season. Please stay ON the roads and trails and viewing areas that have been designated as great places to view our wildlife without disrupting them.
